Wash day @ 27 weeks

This wash day was a Camille Rose Naturals kind of weekend using all staples.

I started off with CRN Creme Restore Conditioning Cleanser making sure to massage my scalp and working the cleanswr down to the ends. Washed that out. Next I detangled with CJ Smoothing Conditioner and also massaging my scalp for a minute or two. I rinsed that out with warm water to keep my cuticles open and squeezed out the extra water with my hands.
For my deep conditioner I used CRN Algae Dee conditioner (the old formula). I left this on for more then 2 hours before rinsing it out. For my leave ins I sprayed my hair with ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer, coated with HoneyChile HairLove's Caramel Milk & Vanilla Bean Curl Taffy, and then sealed with CRN Curlaide Moisture Butter. Now it was my first time using it and I really didn't know what to do with it so I decided to revamp my LCO method and change the oil to a butter. I know your thinking this may be to heavy on my hair. I made sure to use a dab of each working it from root to tip!

Wash day @ 26 weeks

Lets get straight to it!

I rinsed my hair with warm water for a minute or two to lift up some of the dirty before Quidad Curl Co Wash through out my hair. Making sure to get to my scalp.

Right now I am at the point where I am tried of taking 5 minutes to make a decision on what I am going to use in my hair. I know what makes my hair soft and manageable so I'm really trying to use up things that I'm not using. So for my rinse out conditioner of choice that I use as a detangler was Shea Moisture Extra Moisture Conditioner. I left this on my hair for 3 minutes while I did a little finger detangling and then using my Tangle Teezer.

Once that was rinsed out I wanted to try my homemade deep conditioner that I am working on. I tried it on old hair but this time I wanted to try it on fresh washed hair with heat. I sat under the bonnet dryer for about 25 minutes before washing it out. My hair felt restored and slightly strong. My curls...well you can see in the pic to the right!

For my leave ins I used Shea moisture extra moisture conditioner. Followed by a newbie by HoneyChile HairLove. I know I contradicted my self because I'm trying to use up my stash. But I am still trying to find stylers which I have none of and you also know that I love deep conditioners which I feel you can never have to many of. So from first impression of the Caramel Milk & Vanilla Bean Curl Taffy, it not my socks off. One of my swap sisters sent me a couple of stylers to test out. One of them was Curl Junkies Curls in a Bottle. I'm guessing it is like a serum that holds your look together because the bottle states that it controls frizz and adds shine. I used it a couple of times and its was "mah" to me. Some other things that she sent to me that I gave more the 2 tries was Cream and Cocos Curls for Days & Chocolate Marshmallow Pudding. I tried both of these together, I tried them separately, I tried them on freshly washed hair, on old hair and all I can say is my hair did not like them. My hair was dry at one put after putting it on, then another it was to oily where I had to to wash my hair, it just seem to me that the product was sitting on my hair and not being absorbed. That was a huge no no!

Happy Hair Journey!

Wash Day @25 Weeks Post Big Chop

Hey

This is the first wash day of the new year so I want to start it off with fresh clean healthy hair. I know new year means new goals and my only goal for this year is to move out of this awkward stage. So I am focused on length! I want to try hair pills and will be doing my research to find which one will be best for me! Also I will continue to use up half used products in my stash so that I can clear out my shelves and only buy my staples.

First pre pooing with the last bit of Ynobe Shop Pre Poo Treat I prepared my hair to be shampooed. I had this in my hair for about 15-20 minutes before washing it out.
I shampooed my hair with my staple shampoo Joico K-Pak Color Therapy shampoo. I did this only once making sure to get my scalp relly good. It has been a while since I washed my hair with shampoo and I can tell you I don't miss the stripped feeling. But I know that my hair is clean and ready for the new year.
Next using 4 Naturals Reconstructor I deep a protein treatment on my hair leaving it in for about 5 minutes and rinsed. This really left my hair feeling restored and back to its prior state.
After that needing to balance my hair I used my staple moisturizing deep conditioner;  Sitrinillah from Hairveda. I left this on for over a hour before rinsing it out in the shower.
I applied Jamaican Black Castor oil on my scalp. I want to go back to my past regimen when I did this religiously to see if this will also help in gain some length. For leave ins I used Hairveda's whipped creme ends hydration and seal with vatika frosting. For stylers I used Cream & Cocos original Curls for Days with Chocolate Marshmallow Pudding. My curls were again defined by this product but by the end of the day my hair felt extremely greasy. When I touched it my hand would shine so I ended up washing the combo out of my hair.

How was your wash day?

Wash Day @ 24 weeks

Since I haven't been consistent with my wash day posts since I was so busy with school work. I wanted to telll you guys that I colored my hair last week with Dark & Lovely Vivacious red. Once I colored it I deep conditioned with Aubrey GPB Balancing Conditioner with out heat for about a hour, then used ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer, and then styled with Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter.

But for the wash days that I have not posted it has been the same routine with no new products.

This wash day I used my staple Camille Rose Naturals Creme Restore Conditioning Cleanser. I detangled with using Curl Junkie Smoothing conditioner and my new Tangle Teezer which I will do a review once I use it a couple more times. But I have used it on my daughters hair and it slid through her hair with ease. Now the rest of my wash day routine I used new things starting with Sarenzo Hair Conditioning Clay Mask which told me to use only a smal amount which I didn't listen to because of how heavy handed I am! But right away I was loving the tingling feeling! I'm upset with myself because I don't know how I skipped putting my leave-in. I guess I was to excited to use this next product. So I basically tested this product out on clean hair which was Cream and Cocps Curls for Days the original formula. I was lucky enough to get a sample of this because of various reasons why I have purchased from the vendor myself. My curls were defined but I wasn't really wowed because my cutls didn't really separate like I would have liked them. They clumped up. So on top of that I used Curl Junkies Curls in a Bottle. Which help to separate and give it a nice hold.

Wash Day @ 16, 17, & 18 weeks post

Hey guys

Let me start off by saying these health care classes are really kicking my butt. So I really apologies about the lack of post.

I'm so proud of myself. The past couple of weeks before & this week I have left my hair in a twist protective style. I did not touch my hair at all. When I went out with the girls I put on my half a wig and kept it moving! My hair stayed moisturized from the L.O.C. method using the Camille Rose Natural products. My hair felt to soft and not a rough or dry patch in site!!!! :) This wash day is the beginning of the month so I decided to clarify my hair since I have done it in a good while!

Anyway here's how wash day went on Saturday 16 weeks post
I shampooed my hair once with my Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat shampoo. Since this was the first weekend of the month I decided to clarify my hair since I haven't done do in a good while. After I rinsed the shampoo out I detangled with my Aubreys GBP protein treatment. I left this on for about 2 minutes. I wasn't really worried about bring the softness back into my hair because the shampoo stripped my hair but not the drying strip that I hate. Rinsed that out and tied my hair up in a cotton baby burp cloth. I did this just to soak up any excess water before smoothing my deep conditioner through my hair. I used my staple Hairvèda Sitrinilla intense moisturizing deep conditioner. I left this on for a couple of hours with heat and let me tell you this one never seems to fail when I used it. I love the fact that when it touches my hair it is instantly soaked up. Rinsed the conditioner out with cold water and applied my leave ins. Trying to use up the rest of my Camille Rose Naturals Cranberry hair & body lotion, I used this as my leave in. Sealed with a small amount of Hairvèda Vatika Frosting. Recently I swap some things for some new Hairvèda butters so that I can try them before Black Friday. So I used the Hairvèda's Herbal Green Tea butter which only kept my hair moisturized for 3 days. But it did leave a nice shine to my twist. If you follow me on IG you will see that I recruited Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai butter to my staples!

Saturday 17th weeks post
So the next week I used my staple co-wash Ouadid. Oh how I messed the way it felt in my hair. The softness it gives and the smell it brings! I haven't used it in over a month and thanks to one of my favorite swap sister. I am laced in my co wash for well into next year maybe more! Next I used FCA Naturals Invigorating Conditioner for my rinse out and detangler. Another great job was performed from this conditioner. Seriously thinking about adding it to my staples. For my deep conditioner I used Camille Rose Naturals Algae Deep Conditioner. When i first opened it I was taking back at how thick it was. It really looked like a regular sealant butter and not a deep conditioner. Now the one that I have is the one that is in the original packaging not the new one. So I really did know how it was because I first used the samples that I received in my prize from them and that one was really creamy. When I used it I was blown away again because of how moisturized my hair was. I was so soft and moisturized I couldn't keep my hands out of my hair. For leave ins I used my Camille Rose's Lotion and the Almond Jai Butter. I have been kind of changing up my moisturize and seal method by just cutting out the oil and using a butter instead. I found this to be easier on me and been giving my absolutely soft moisturized hair. Remember in a hair journey you have to do what's best for your hair and your hair will respond by growing.

Friday @ 18 weeks post
I decided to color my hair and choose to do it a day early so that I can have Saturday for my self. So I was my hair with a shampoo as directed on the label of my dye. I mixed FCA naturals shampoo & Shea moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo for the lather. I was really happy with the clean feeling that it left. The dye of choice I bought from Sally's and was recommended by the sales lady was Manic Panic in Pillarbox Red. First impression was okay the red came out darker then I wanted and it runs every time I wash my hair. This had never happened with the box dye's I used before so I was not pleased. Not to mention it took forever to rinse out of my hair. I skipped the conditioner and went straight to my deep conditioner. This week I used the last of my Giovanni's Moist Deep condition with hear for about 45 minutes. For leave-ins I used my sample of Hairveda's Whipped Ends and then twisted with the Herbal Green Tea Butter from Hairveda also. Loved this combination also!!!

Enjoyable relaxing wash days! How was your wash day?

Wash day @ 15 weeks + Camille Rose Naturals Review #27 Initial Thoughts

Hey guys!

All week I have been planning on how I was going to go about washing my hair. Reason being is because 1. I recently won a full size Creme Restore Conditioning Cleanser from Camille Rose Naturals and 2. I  did some swaps lately in my group and lucked up on more Camille Rose Natural products including the 2 Algae Deep Conditioner, Almond Jai Twisting Butter, and a Fresh Curl. I was too excited. So I had to plan to incorporate all of these in my wash routine and this is how it went:

  • As directed I detangled before wetting my hair. Once I wet it I took a couple of squirt the size of a half a dollar and applied it to the front. Then did the same to the back. I massaged like directed but also detangled also. THE SLIP IN THIS CONDITIONER IS AMAZING!!! That is all. Rinsed that out in cool water.
  • Detangled some more with, which will now be a staple, Curl Junkie Smoothing Conditioner as my rinse out. I didn't really have to do to much because the cleanser did the majority of the work and I have never experienced that before. Rinsed out in warm water to prepare my hair for the deep conditioner.
  • Now I received 3 samples of Camille Rose Naturals Algae Renew Deep Conditioner. So I used those to test instead of the full size to see how it would react to my hair. 1st I am glad I had three because one would have not done anything. One pack was enough to cover about 1 and a half of a section of my hair. 2nd my hair sucked this conditioner up. It took extremely will that I didn't see a drop of the conditioner anywhere on my hair. Rinsed that out in Cold water after I took a shower and wrapped my head in a cotton t-shirt.
  • For a leave in I used Camille's Cranberry Hair & Body lotion. Sealed FCA Naturals Invigorating Hair Oil. Then as promised on the container I used Camille's Almond Jai Twisting Butter for my Wash N Go. I took my hair little by little and smooth it through my hair and the results were soft MOISTURIZED curls. It was not heavy at all. Really thoroughly whipped giving you a light hold.
Overall I was very pleased with what I used and can't wait til Black Friday so I can try more from this line. Can you see the shine in the pic below. I am truly pleased with this butter.

Thanks for reading!!!

Wash Day @ 14 Weeks + FCA NATURALS REVIEW #26 Initial Thoughts!!

Hey loves

When I randomly pop on to Facebook I sometimes caught a giveaway going on and for the past month I have been lucky enough to win a few giveaways. Well this one I believe was a trivia question that I had answered right. I completely forgot about it due to school work and was pleasantly surprise to get this package in the mail. I received the Invigorating Set which included a full sized shampoo, conditioner, and hair growth oil.

My Initial review from looking at the products is that the package is plain. It is more wording on the label and a small logo in the corner. I love to see the company logo on the package so I can know what product I am using, if it was faded in the background underneath the wording it would give it more of a pop or bigger. I would be more familiar with it by seeing the logo. Here's how I used during wash day:

  • First pre pooing my hair with out heat for about an hour as I fixed breakfast. Making sure that I applied it liberally to my hair. Rinsed it out in warm water.
  • Next as directed I applied the shampoo directly to my scalp and massaged in not expecting a later. Now right off back the first thing that hit my senses was the strong scent of peppermint. My preferred scents a more of a floral or sweet. I'm not even a person that likes to each peppermint on the regular. It didn't have a lather just like the directions stated. But I did feel the peppermint open up my pores and my hair did have clean feel to it. Like most shampoos that I find out in the beginning I have amazing results, but then down the round my hair feels like straw. This shampoo did leave my hair nice and soft so that was a plus. The shampoo's second ingredient is water so that is exactly what the consistency is like. Water. Making it very easy to apply to my scalp in sections or what every way you would like. That is a plus plus!
  • Next the directions stated to apply a generous amount of conditioner to hair and work from root to tip. So that is what I did and my usual detangling process. The texture of this conditioner is like a thick frothy milk. Yes the texture of a milkshake. I can tell you that it had loads of slip. My shed hair's came out with ease. But a down side to it was that it also smelled strong of peppermints. Now I know that peppermints help promote hair growth but that is just one smell that is to strong for me. Hubby could smell me before I came out of the bath with was not a good thing from the look on his face. I left this on for about 4 minutes and the rinsed with warm water.
  • Next I deep conditioned with a staple. Shea moisture deep treatment masque for over a hour with heat. I love this deep conditioner is all that I can say.
  • Once that was rinsed out I wrapped my baby cloth around my hair to soak up the extra water before smoothing Shea moisture Moisture Retention Conditioner. I sealed it with the hair growth oil that came with the set. Again it smelled like peppermint. I love oils and after a few minutes when my hair started to dry I could hardly smell it anymore. Last I styled with As I Am Curl Jelly which went on fine and dandy, but once dried my hair was hard. NO Bueno! FAIL!
Overall I would like to use these products one more time to have a good sense on how I feel about the products.

Wash Day @ 12 weeks post

Heyy!

Okay Okay. I know I am an product junkie because I took my braids out at only 2 1/2 weeks. TERRIBLE!! I don't know why but I really missed my hair. I missed looking at my curls and watching YouTube videos of my favorite naturalistas running their fingers through the luscious curls. That was definitely not happening. I got to tell you that taking them out was nice and easy so I will be purchasing the hair again. I was able to take them out within a half an hour. While I was detangling I noticed that my hair was extremely soft and well moisturized.

Now once I took them out here is what I did:

  • Shampooed with Joico K-pak Color Therapy Shampoo. Once really well massaging my scalp to clean the dirt that was at the base of my braids.
  • Next I used Curl Junkie's Curl Assurance Smoothing conditioner as a rinse out. Even though my hair was already detangled very good. This had good slip, but I will still be trying it again next wash day to see how it works when I haven't detangled before hand.
  • Deep conditioned with Marie Dean Seaweed & Rice deep conditioner. I left this on for over 2 hours with out heat. But I was cooking in the kitchen so I know I generated some body heat to warm my hair up.
  • Only squeeze out the excess water I then used Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Conditioner, sealed with Hairveda Vatika oil, and the styled with a sample pack of Edens Body Works Coconut Shea All Natural Pudding Soufflé.
I loved how my curls were defined with this pudding. Once it was dry which took about 2 hours maybe more. I twisted it up for the night. I have A LOT of pillow packs so I will be trying to use them to see how they work on my hair. I'm thinking I maybe reinstalling my braids for the fall because I love how soft and moisturized my hair. The below pic is how my hair turned out after taking out my twist today!

Wash day @ 10 weeks post

Hey guys

Wow! I can't believe it has been 10 weeks since I "Big Chopped". Time has really passed by that it hasn't felt like that much time has passed. Saturday's wash day I will preparing my hair for braids. I also did a porosity test on my hair after I shampooed. I let my strands air dry and then placed them in a cup of water. After about 5 minutes in the cup my results showed that I have low porosity. Anyway here is how my wash day went:

  • Started off detangling my hair with Ynobe shop Pre poo treat w/amla oil. I thoroughly detangled my hair for about a half hour.
  • Shampooed with Giovanni ultra moist shampoo. When I used it my hair felt squeaky clean and not moisturized like I wanted. So I used Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo and that did not help. My hair felt reallllly clean after using both so I guessed they served their purpose.
  • Remember I mentioned last wash day that I made some hair tea. Well I didn't forget to use it this week and soaked my hair with the tea. I'm in need of a new spray bottle because this one doesn't spray anymore.  :( I then coated that with my trusty Aubrey's GPB Balancing Conditioner. After rinse this combination out my hair felt like how it was supposed too. :)
  • Next I wanted to give my hair a hard protein treatment. So while I was at the beauty Supply store I couldn't find the treatment I was looking for so I bought IC Fantasia Vitamin/Protein Re-constructor that I left in for a minute as directed.
  • After rinsing that out I wanted to use a moisturizing deep conditioner. After debating on which dc to use in my stash I settled on Koils by Nature Hydrating Shealoe Creamy Conditioner. I left this on for over 3 hours under a cap with no heat.
  • For leave ins I used Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioner, sealed with Hairveda Vatika Oil, and for my cream I used TGIN Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer. I didn't use it when I was transitioning and wanted to save it for when I was fully natural and I am glad I did because I really liked how it locked everything in. When I take my hair out I will try it again because I like how it was thick but still felt light on my hair.

I feel that this combination did good for prepping my hair for the installation.Once I am finished my braids I will post pictures on IG. How was your wash day?

Wash day @ 9 weeks post

Hey
I have come to realize that I have bottles just sitting on my shelf that I use a couple of times and just like looking at them. Time for me to do a clean out stash of things I'm just letting sit and make way for restocking staples! Project clean stash begins! Black Friday is around the corner and need to know what is on my list and what is not!

Let's get to it:

I pre pooed this week with Hairveda Moist Condition 24-7. I gave this a try as a co wash during the week and my hair felt so moist that I had to see what other way I can use it. The directions say use it as a rinse out & DC so I will be trying that next. Rinsed out with cool water.

Cleansed with Jessicurls Hair Cleansing Cream 2x. This bottle is the same one that I had from a swap earlier this year. I thought it was a little left to do just one last wash. But nope I can do one more.

I made some more hair tea but whilst in the mist of cleaning I forgot all about the tea in the sink until today! So I did my usual conditioner rinse with Aubreys GPB balancing conditioner. I left this on for about 4-5 minutes while I scrubbed out the tube. Rinsed with warmer water to open my hair cuticles.

Deep conditioned with Blue Roze Beauty Strawberry Hibiscus Deep Conditioner. I used this with a cap on and went outside for a little bit to work up some heat. This was left on for about 2 hours. I used every last drop of this conditioner and gladly can say this is my first used up product in my stash. Yay! Rinsed out with cold water.

For leave ins I used Shea Moisture Moisture Retention. Sealed with my oil mixture and to define my curls I used my diy flaxseed gel. I have very soft second day hair with this mixture but yesterday my hard had a slight hardness to it.

How was your wash day? Also what is on your Black Friday list?

Wash Day @ 8 Weeks Post

Hi ladies!

Well today I did a very foolish thing because I didn't know that I needed to run some errands.

Anyway I did what I always do on wash day when I first wake up in the morning which is apply my pre poo. This was sitting on my head for about a hour in a half when hubby says we need to do some things because he for got. I let the pre poo stay on for about a hour in a half. I had to take a shower before we left so I co washed my hair with Ouidad to get the pre poo out. I couldn't go out with any leave ins so I then used my Shea moisture leave in and styled with The Modern Hippie Hair Gunk. Mean I was a little heated in the back of my head because I had my was day all planned out. But I thought to myself F*** it. It's my hair I will do what I planned.

So I clarified my hair with Giovanni's Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating shampoo twice to make sure that I felt my scalp tingle and everything was washed from my hair. I haven't did a treatment in my hair in a good while so I used 4naturals Reconstructor. I will have to right a review to tell you guys my experience. Rinsed that out, after 5 minutes with no cap on, with warm water to open up my hair shaft. Deep conditioner with Ambrosia Hair Coco Passion Honey Hair Nectar (newbie) with a cap for over 2 hours. Last I applied my usual leave ins and let my hair air dry.

Okay now I wanted to try somethings out so I used Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie & Eco styler gel. Can you say huge Fail. My hair said no way honey. I had to go wash my hair again so it felt like I washed out the deep conditioner. I tried again using something else and the same results. I finally just had to use Elasta QP Curl Defining Pudding to get my curls to look the way I want.

Today was the worst wash day I had since I started my journey!!!! Have you experienced a bad wash day I would love to hear about it below!
Thanks for reading!

Wash day @ 7 weeks

Hey guys

Right now I am sorting through my stash and trying to write down my Staples. I love trying things but I really need to stick to what works for my hair. It is kind of hard because you have to think of a lot of things when trying to have a healthy rotation of products. Price, quality, quantity are just a few key factors for deciding on what will stay on you shelf. It doesn't hurt to have one product that is a splurge in your arsenal either.

Here's how yesterday day went:

Pre pooed with Ynobe Shop for over 2 hours. As soon as I got up I slathered my hair down and put a cap on my head. Went about do house chores that really got some heat to catch in the cap. While rinsing it ouy I gently detangled.

I then shampooed with Elasta QP 2x. This is my second time using and I still have the same feeling that I had the first time. Rinsed it out.

Conditioner rinsed with Aubrey GPB working from root to tip like I always do. I finshed this bottle and am now on to the next one. Rinsed in cool water.

I revisited and deep conditioned with Blue Roze Beauty Strawberry Hibiscus Deep Conditioner. I put a cap on and applied heat for 30 minutes and without for about 15 minutes before I rinsed it out. This DC gave me the same results as the first time which was moisture and popping curls

Lastly I squeezed out the extra water from my hair with my hands and then used my Roots Only bottle to get some Jamaican Black Castor Oil on my scalp massaging it in. Once I took a quarter size or a little more of Shea Moisture Extra Moisture Conditioner as my leave in. Sealed with grape seed oil and for my styler I used Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Curl Defining Pudding. This was supposed to be my wash and go combination which looked well defined when it dried that day. But the next day it went back to my TWA. :( Back to the drawing board on that one.

I felt that yesterday wash day was simple. How was yours? HHJ

Wash day @ 6 weeks post

Yesterday was a very lazy wash day because I pre pooed for about 3 hours.
Here's how it went:

Pre pooed with Ynobe Shop Pre poo treat for 3 hours with no cap. I really love how this conditioner just soaks into my hair.

Cleansed with Soutanicals Curl Detox. I only had enough for one application because I received this product from one of the lovely ladies that is in the group I'm in on Facebook. Then shampooed with Joico K-pak Color Therapy shampoo. This shampoo I love because I can always come back to it and get great results from it.

Then I conditioner rinsed with my faithful Aubrey GPB. Working this from root to tip and gently detangling while I massaged it in. I did this for about 3 minutes.

Deep conditioned with Hairveda Sitrinillah for 45 minutes. I used a cap and applied heat so that my strands could really get penetrated. This conditioner really leaves my hair extra soft and moisturized.

For leave ins I used Ouidad Sun shield, sealed with grapeseed oil, then locked that in with Curl Enhancing Smoothie. To give it some extra help on the style department I took a quarter size of The Mordern Hippie Hair Gunk and ran it through my hair. When Iit dried I did see some white flakes but once it completely dried it was gone. Now that I big chop it seems like there so many more products out there that I haven't tried and it seems to be making it more harder to find out what my hair loves from what it doesn't love.

Very nice wash day. How was yours?

Wash Day @ 4 & 5 Weeks Post Big Chop

Hey guys

Last week was terrible for me. I had a infection and was on antibiotics so I was beside myself. I really just haven't been in the mood to write and it just feels like a chore now that I have this school work. I'm still thinking about if I want to continue to write regularly or here and there for reviews.

Here's how yesterday wash went:

Pre pooed with Ynobe shop Pre poo Treatment for a hour with no heat or cap. Doing this step is really important to help with detangling. It gives my hair the extra conditioning that it need plus it has loads of slip.

Next I co washed with Ouidad Curl Co-Wash. I massaged it well from root to tip so I wouldn't have to do it again and I was really pleased with the outcome.

After I rinsed that I out I saturated my hair with CCs Naturals hair tea and coated it with my staple Aubrey's GPB Conditioner. I left this on for about 3 minutes making sure to really work it in and do a little detangling. Rinsed out well.

I deep conditioned with a newbie that I received from a fellow product junkie in my one of my swap groups on Facebook. It was Belnouvo Creamy Castor Custard and left it on for 45 minutes. I was truly pleased with this product also.

Last for leave ins I used Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream, sealed with shea butter oil, and for my styler I used Eco Styler Olive oil for a very curl defined wash n go!.
It was a fast wash day for me because hubby took the kids and I for a educated outing!

For my wash day of week 5 it was late at night and I just got back from a little uncomfortable weekend in Arizona. The drive to and fro was breath taking. But I was also behind in 3 testes because I didn't know we were going. So  when we got back on Sunday I pre pooed with Ynobe Shop which I finished off. I finished that bottle and will be adding the amla oil to the second bottle because I really love how it makes my hair soften up. Plus I need to restock before her sale is up at the end of the month! I washed with Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo 1x really good. I'm revisiting this shampoo now that I'm completely natural being that I had a bad experience when I was transitioning. No conditioner I was being super lazy. Deep conditioned with Marie Dean Seaweed & Rice Deep Conditioner for 45 minutes. Now being my first time using this I was blown away. Everything about this deep conditioner was on point for my liking! After I washed it out in the shower I let it air dry until it was 95% dry. I sprayed Ouidad Sun Shield leave in and then applied Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream. This didn't give me the curls I wanted but it did leave my hair very nicely moisturized. It was a lazy wash day and it really showed!!!!

Wash Day @ 3 Weeks Post Big Chop

Hey ladies.

I wasn't going to wash my hair until Sunday but when I woke up this morning to refresh my hair, there were flakes EVERYWHERE. Um no!!! I co washed my hair in an attempt to do a wash and go with Ouidad Curl Quencher Hydrafusion & Climate Control Gel. My curls were nice and defined but after my hair dried my curls were slightly hard. Was not feeling this combination at all. I'm glad it was just sample packs! So for this wash day I will be using the Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter line.

Here's how today went:

• Pre pooed with Ynobe shop mixed with Amla Hair oil for a hour with out heat or a cap.
• Shampooed with Elasta QP Amti-breakage Moisture Butter shampoo. I washedy hair twice and rinsed well.
• Sprayed hair with CCs hair tea and then covered it with Aubrey's GPB. Massaged it in for a good while from root to tip for about 3 minutes. Rinsed well under cool water.
• Deep conditioned with Blue Roze Beauty Strawberry Hibiscus Deep Conditioner that I received in my Honey Bee Inspired Box. I deep conditioned with this for more then 2 hours with and without heat. Rinsed out in cool water.
• For leave ins I used the Elasta QP Olive oil & Mango butter spray. Greased my scalp with Crazy Natural's All in one oil. Styled With the Elasta QP Curl Pudding.

The top pic is when I applied the deep conditioner to half my hair just to see how it would take and my curls were popped. The bottom pic is after I washed it out!:):):)

So far I am 3 weeks in with my TWA, besides from shrinkage, and I am loving it! I have found my staples before and will be sticking with them. I also love experimenting with new products or I wouldn't be a product junkie!:)

Wash Day #2

Hey ladies.
Now I don't know if you guys would still be interested in me continuing sharing with you my wash day post. I still want to document my journey now that I'm natural. Showing you guys my ups and downs, my setbacks, and my growth.

So here what I did in this wash day:
-Pre Pooed with Ynobe shop Pre-poo Treat and I add Amla Plus Herbal Hair oil. This was left on for maybe 3 hours or so. I was busy cleaning and doing school and basically forgot that it was on.
- Cleansed with Jessicurl Hair Cleansing Cream 1x, but made sure I really worked it in. Rinsed well.
- Conditioner rinsed with my Tresemme concoction. Working it from root to tip making sure to get all my shed hairs out. This is becoming a great detangler.
- I didn't use my tea rinse the wash day. I replaced it with Komaza Care Honecomb Hair rejuvenator and the coated it with Audrey GPB. I left this on for 5 minutes and rinsed well.
- Deep conditioned with Hairveda Strinillah without a cap or heat for well over a hour. Rinsed well.
- For leave ins I used 4naturals Daily Treatment Leave-in on my scalp. Ouidad Sun Shield leave-in spray and sealed with Shea Butter oil. 4naturals Afro Cream Curl Cream was used for my styler. I 2 strand twisted my hair.

Very simply Wash Day!

Wash Day....Plus Surprise!

How my hair looked when I took out my rods. I styled it with
As I Am DoubleButter Cream
I DID IT.

Finally after 45 weeks or 11 months and some change. I chopped my ends off hunny.
Yesterday started off extremely terrible. (Family that is not related to me issues) So when  took my rods down and looked in the mirror saying to myself I'm going to do it. I didn't know where to start, just knowing that I had to wet my hair. I used my aloe vera mix to wet my hair and bring out my curls. Then sitting in front of the mirror I just went to work. I really wanted to record it but due to the terrible circumstances I just went for and took pictures instead!
So for this wash day I used Jessicurls Confident Curls sample pack that I will be review in my next post.

Here's how I washed my first TWA:
•Pre pooed with Ynobe Shop Prr-poo treat for 2 hours. No heat and no conditioning cap. Rinsed it out.
• Cleansed with Jessicurls Hair Cleansing Cream 2x. Rinsed out.
• Used Jessicurls Too Shea Extra Moisturizing Conditioner applying it from root to tip and leaving it on for 3 minutes while I detangled.
• Then I sprayed my hair with CCs Naturals Hair tea and then covered it with Aubrey's GPB Balancing Conditioner. I left this on for about 5 minutes. Rinsed well.
• After that I used Jessicurls Deep Conditioning Treatment. I left this on my hair for 2 hours. A hour with heat and a hour without. Rinsed that out in cool water.
• Last for leave-ins I used Giovanni 2chic Keratin & Argan oil leave-in and styling Elixir.  Sealed with shea butter oil and for a my styler I used Jessicurls Confident coils. Which dry in about 2 hours.  Yay fro!

I was very happy for my first all natural wash!
Also How my hair looks, I have came a long way and finally feel free from the 2 textures!!

Wash day @ 45 weeks post

Hey guys

Now I know this was supposed to be a post describing how my braids installation went. But I totally forgot I started school this week. So I was swamped with work and I don't think it will be a good idea to install them until I get a feel of my classes.
Another thing if you follow me on IG I posted that I feel that I am ready for my big chop. I think I may do it on the 31st of August which would be 1 year since I had a relaxer. I think that would be a perfect way to celebrate my anniversary and I am tried of seeing this relaxed ends. I'm sooooo over them. So yeah just wanted to vent to you guys a little bit.

Whooo now that that's of my chest here is how my wash day went:

• Pre pooed with Ynobe shop Pre-poo treat. I think I left this on for about 2 or 3 hours because I was doing school and I had exited out, then I had to retype it over. So I don't know how long this was keep on. But I know that it really took.
•Shampooed 2x with Giovanni 2chic Ultra Moist shampoo. Now for some reason my hair felt hard the first time, but soften back up when I did it the second time.
•Next I conditioned my hair with my condiyioner mix. Now what may you ask is in my conditioner mix. Well a bunch of conditioner that I mixed. LOL!! I had to use up the rest of the tresemme touchable smooth Conditioner so I added Giovanni 2chic moist conditioner & Organix moroccan argan crème conditioner. The reason I mixed them was because 1. they were taking out to much room and 2. I already have my staples so why not use it up this way!
•Sprayed my hair with CCs hair tea and coated it with Aubrey's GPB balancing conditioner. I worked this in my hair well for 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing it out.
•Deep conditioneds with and without heat for 2+ hours, using Aunt Jackie's in control. I had a little left that I need to use up. So I used that and 2 sample packs to do my hair. I also ran out of conditioning caps so I use a target bag instead. I may or may not be repurchasing it. I really want to get my staples down to two lines. One protein & one moisture. I'm still thinking about.
•For leave ins I used Quidad Moisture lock sample pack. Now out of the 2oz pack I got 3 uses out of it. 2 for me and 1 for my daughter. The smell alone was a winner for me so I can't wait to use it again. Sealed that with shea butter oil. Detangled and the style with Giovanni 2chic ultra sleek Keratin & argan leave in and styler. When I took out my rods baby soft curls. Loved it!
I did trim the back of my hair a little. I'm slowly cut my hair off. But I still think I will cut it all off in the end of august.

Wash Day @ 44 weeks post

Hey Guys!
How has you week been!?
I couldn't wait for wash day this week because my hair really needed the TLC. I didn't get the chance to co-wash this week because it just seem to be another busy week.
So I used a new line to me this wash day called Thank God I'm Natural (tgin). My next post will be a detailed review of these item's I will just be stating how I used the product. I'm also prepping my hair for a box braid protective style. I my co wash and deep condition my hair again before I install them. But I will think on it before the time comes.
Here's how it went:
•Pre pooed with Ynobe Shops Pre Poo Treat covered overnight to really soften my hair up. Rinsed.
•Shampooed 2x with Tgin moisture rich shampoo. Rinsed.
•Next I used the Moisture rich Conditioner. Which felt like heaven to my hair. I worked that in my hair from root to tip. Rinsed.
•After that I sprayed my hair with CC's Hair tea and coated that with Tresseme's Protein Renewal. I left this on for about 3 minutes while I brushed my teeth. Rinsed it out
•Then I deep conditioned with the Tgin Honey Mask for 3 hours. I had to do some grocery shopping so I wrapped up my head with a scarf that I had from the Dekem Divas Box I did a review on. Rinsed.
•Greased my scalp with Jamaican Black Castor oil. For leave ins I used a sample pack of Quadid Moisture lock. I smell amazing and really added to making my hair soft. Sealed thatbin with Shea Butter oil which is extremely moisturizing and I use it alot on my kids to seal in the water. Then for a my choice of a styler I used Jessicurls Confident Coils in the scent Island Fantasy. Setting it with rods.
Now when I was finished my hair actually was smoothed out and had a shiny to it that I haven't seen before in my hair. I was in shocked. Today went fast being that went to the store and washed my hair early. I was very pleased with today's results in the combination I used.

Wash Day @ 43 weeks post

Hey guys!
I want to thank you all, my old and new readers, for we have reached 10,000 page views & 100 likes on Facebook. I am so overwhelmed with happiness you guys wouldn't know. I would love to host a giveaway but I did giveaways for the whole month of June. So when I hit 15,000 page views & 200 Facebook likes I will host another one. Really Thank you guys so much!!!!!!!!:)

I hope you guys enjoyed your weekend. My weekend was very hectic. From taking hubby back and forth to the hospital and the kids. I am truly drained. So I wash my hair Sunday when I find some time to spare.
I got my order of staple pre poo treatment, plus a new Masque through a swap and I used it today. I think one thing you can never have to much of is deep conditioners being that are sooooo good for your hair. So if you have any recommendations on deep conditioners/masques please leave a comment below!

Here's how it went:
● Pre pooed with (staple) Ynobe Shop Pre Poor Treatment for well over a hour. My hair was feeling extremely dry for the past 2 days and it seemed like anything I did was not working at all. So after I rinsed this out my hair felt like is was given life again.
Not Alot of shedding thanks to the pre poo treat
● Cleansed my hair 2x with Jessicurls Hair Cleansing Cream. All I can say is that I'm really like this cleanser. Rinsed that out in lukewarm water.
● Sprayed my hair with CC's hair tea before covering it with Aubrey Organics GPB Balancing Conditioner. I love that 1 hair tea bag can last me for about a month and a half. I massaged this into my hair for about 3 minutes from root to tip. Rinsed in lukewarm water.
● Deep Conditioned with Hairvèda Sitrinillah Deep Hair Masque for over 2 hours with heat. The directions said to apply a palm size amount and that's what I did and my hair felt nice coated. I have a 16oz jar and I fell this will last me a good while. Rinsed this out and cool water and my hair felt like it absorb the conditioner, plus adding some strength from the coconut oil.
● Greased my scalp with Jamaican Black Castor oil. Used a small amount of ILY leave in and sealed with shea butter oil. For my styler I used my DIY Custard with rods.

Nice wash day for such a hectic weekend! :)

Mini Review

Ynobe Shop Pre Poo Treatment

4oz-4.87 & 8oz-7.87

Ingredients: Water,  Conditioner Base (Cetearyhl alcohol, and stearalkimium chloride) Olive oil, Avocado oil, Aloe Vera Juice, Grapeseed oil, & Lavender Essential.

Promise: Ynobe Pre-poo Treat is formulated to make shampooing and conditioning the hair easier. Helps with detangling and is great for helping mend those split ends.

Directions: Saturate the hair with Ynobe Pre-poo treat. This can be done in sections if you have longer/thicker hair. For best results leave in hair under a conditioning cap for 30 min-1 hour.  Shampoo and condition as usual.

My Review: I can't explain how this really helps tremendously with aiding in detangling and giving me slip throughout my wash day process. So when it's time for detangling with a comb it is truly a breeze. No knots, rough spots, or fairy knots. Like I said above it also gives extra moisture to my hair. I haven't used it with heat but I bet if I did my hair would melt like butter. Finding good products that add with giving my hair slip so I won't be ripping out hair at the end of deep conditioning is so helpful when working with two textures. I highly recommend this product if your transitioning. The price you cannot bet for the lasting amount that you receive. Plus Ynobe always has good sales on her Facebook and Product Month Spot lights where her products on sale on her website. So check her out

Thanks for Reading!!!:)
