Review #27: Siamese Twists

Hey Guys

Okay first off please forgive me for the lack of posts. I have started a new job working with babies and being that I have three kids of my own, I am extremely tried when I come home. Having to deal with my kids before work, then go to deal with infants, and then back home to mines. Not to mention I still have school work that needs to be done. But anyway, I am going to try to bring you a post or two a week and I will be starting off with a review.

I was contacted a week ago by the owner of Siamese Twist, "Ms. Nik", with an opportunity to do a review. I initially contact her in the beginning of last year and she told me she would get back to me when she came out with a new product. Well I was contacted and here is my review.

Lemon Cake Twist Butter 10oz- 15.65$ & Light Protein Hair Reconstructor 8oz- 12.75$

Promises: Natural hair products for natural transitioning and permed hair. Adds much needed moisture, sheen and softness. My richly scented Body Butters and Body Oils will instantly make your skin feel silky smooth.

Ingredients: (LCTB) Mango, Shea, Cocoa, Sunflower, Palm, Aloe Vera, Brahmi, Olive, Emulsifying wax, Germall Fragrant Oils.
(LPHR) soy, water, hydrolyzed wheat protein, hydrolyzed collagen protein, goats milk, hempseed, silk peptide

My Experience: I received the butter on the 11th. I hadn't washed my hair since the 1st of March when I clarified my hair using the new Neutrogena Anti breakage set. *Review* My hair had product on it but was a little dry. I used it that night on old hair and when I took my hair out the next morning the definition was excellent. Through out the day, from weather to kids grabbing my hair, my twist out was still in tacked. My roots frizzed up no doubt but my curls remained. That night when I got home I did notice that my hair need a moisture lift. This was from me not moisturizing my hair since I believe that Saturday and water is not in the list of ingredients on this product. I decided to use Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide before using the twist butter. When I woke up and took down my hair, my twist out was the everything. My hair stayed moisturized through the Nevada weather and going to work. I didn't need to reapply any thing that night I just simple put my hair in 12 large twist before wrapping my hair up that night. Friday morning my hair was still extremely moisturized like I just put the product in the night before. Only thing that ruined my curls was spraying it with a refresher. I haven't found a refresher that actually brings out my curls and not frizzing it up. Saturday night I washed my hair with my staple Ouidad for a cleanser, Curl Junkie for my rinse out, and then I used the Light Protein Hair Reconstructor for my deep conditioner. I did not use heat just put on a plastic cap and let it set for an hour. Once I did rinse it out, even though it is light, I had to rinse my hair twice to get the product out. My hair did absorb it well and being that it was a treatment it left my hair soft like a conditioner would. Once I was done coloring my hair I used Apohgee Leave-in and then seal with the twisting butter. OMG I CAN NOT TELL YOU GUYS HOW WELLLLLL DEFINED MY HAIR WAS!!!! The moisture level was off the charts. I just could stop touching or looking at my beautiful curls.
I love my products to have a sweet or perfume smell to it. That being said when I seen the label stating lemon cake I had to prepare myself. When I opened the jar I had to restrain myself from licking the jar. My mind confused it for a second with butter crème icing and I was about to go to town.
The feel of both of these products are extra light, like a air whipped type butter. When I initially opened the jars I felt like I would need to be generous with these products but I was totally wrong. My first use of the butter I just used the product that was in the lid and for the reconstructor I hardly put a dent in it.
Ms. Nik has developed a new label for her new brand of items so be on the look out for that.
Pricing for me is right in the range of the quality of the products. Being that they are all natural I expect the prices to be different then products that you by out of a regular store because they are not loaded with harmful ingredients.
Will I be purchasing again? Yes I would definitely like to repurchase the twisting butter. The smell alone won me over and the results of my twist out made me reach for it for the pass couple of days instead of my staple. The reconstructor was a little heavy for my hair because I have fine hair. A natural with a coarser texture I feel this product would be perfect for them. It preform the task it was meant to do by giving my hair the light boost it need and that was shown by how well my hair took to the coloring I did.

Lemon Cake Twist Butter: A+
Light Protein Hair Reconstructor: B-

Review #26: Crown Brush HD Set

If you follow me on Instagram I posted a couple weeks back that I received Crown Brush HD set w/ Mirror and Tweezer. Making this my first makeup review and I'm so excited.

I was sent this set from iFabbo. iFaboo is a company that links beauty bloggers up with beauty companies. I ordered the set and within a week I had my very first Crown Brush set. Crown Brush is "recognized by the beauty industry as the global leader in cosmetic brushes with over 30 years of brush making experience."

The Hd set comes in 3 different colors. Orange, purple, and white with blue tips which is the one I received. These brushes retail for 69.99$ but you can get them on SALE right now for 19.50$ right now off of their website. These brushes are made with high grade synthetic fiber, are vegan friendly, and are perfect for applying high definition cosmetics.

The packaging was very pretty with the logo on the front. The brushes were EXTREMELY SOFT. I mean I could not stop rubbing the brushes on my face because they felt so freaking good. I have a couple sets of brushes but these were by far the softest.

Sorry my flash was a little too bright making it hard to see what the brushes names.

Starting with this brush called the "Detailed Liner". It is used to line fine lines like to do a winged liner!

Next this brush the "Talered Blush". This can be used to apply blush to the cheeks.

This round dome brush is a "Deluxe Contour". I used this brush to contour perimeter of my face and also the hollows of my cheeks.

The "Pro Powder" brush can be used as a setting brush once you have
completed your look.
The "Crease Blender" is just how the name calls it. It is used to blend out crease applications.

Last is the "Chisel Shadow" is used to apply eye shadow

Overall: Being that I am not a person that have tested and tried every beauty item out there I felt that this brush are good staple brushes. This set would would be great for a person needing a starter brush set because it provide the basic brushes need for doing makeup. The price is not bad and the are featured on Hautelook with better deals if you feel that the price that I stated above is a to pricey.

*DISCLAIMER *  I was sent these products for review and this is my honest opinion *

Wash day @ 15 weeks + Camille Rose Naturals Review #27 Initial Thoughts

Hey guys!

All week I have been planning on how I was going to go about washing my hair. Reason being is because 1. I recently won a full size Creme Restore Conditioning Cleanser from Camille Rose Naturals and 2. I  did some swaps lately in my group and lucked up on more Camille Rose Natural products including the 2 Algae Deep Conditioner, Almond Jai Twisting Butter, and a Fresh Curl. I was too excited. So I had to plan to incorporate all of these in my wash routine and this is how it went:

  • As directed I detangled before wetting my hair. Once I wet it I took a couple of squirt the size of a half a dollar and applied it to the front. Then did the same to the back. I massaged like directed but also detangled also. THE SLIP IN THIS CONDITIONER IS AMAZING!!! That is all. Rinsed that out in cool water.
  • Detangled some more with, which will now be a staple, Curl Junkie Smoothing Conditioner as my rinse out. I didn't really have to do to much because the cleanser did the majority of the work and I have never experienced that before. Rinsed out in warm water to prepare my hair for the deep conditioner.
  • Now I received 3 samples of Camille Rose Naturals Algae Renew Deep Conditioner. So I used those to test instead of the full size to see how it would react to my hair. 1st I am glad I had three because one would have not done anything. One pack was enough to cover about 1 and a half of a section of my hair. 2nd my hair sucked this conditioner up. It took extremely will that I didn't see a drop of the conditioner anywhere on my hair. Rinsed that out in Cold water after I took a shower and wrapped my head in a cotton t-shirt.
  • For a leave in I used Camille's Cranberry Hair & Body lotion. Sealed FCA Naturals Invigorating Hair Oil. Then as promised on the container I used Camille's Almond Jai Twisting Butter for my Wash N Go. I took my hair little by little and smooth it through my hair and the results were soft MOISTURIZED curls. It was not heavy at all. Really thoroughly whipped giving you a light hold.
Overall I was very pleased with what I used and can't wait til Black Friday so I can try more from this line. Can you see the shine in the pic below. I am truly pleased with this butter.

Thanks for reading!!!

Review #25: Blue Roze Beauty

Blue Roze Beauty was featured in the first subscription box from Honey Bee Inspired Box Inc, that is how I was able to try the product before buying it. It was a full size item which is 8oz. Theses are some of the benefits of having a subscription box where you can get to sample a product line so you won't feel like your going to buy from them blind.

Strawberry Hibiscus Deep Conditioner- 8 oz: 13.99$

Ingredients: Distilled w/ hibiscus & marshmallow root, Aloe Vera juice,  Cupuacu butter, Tucuma butter, Horsetail butter, Bhringraj infused olive oil, Bentonite clay, Btms, Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-40 Castor oil, Stearalkonium Chloride honeyquat, fragrance, & preservative.

Promises: strawberry hibiscus deep conditioner will intensely moisturize, repair and define your curls.
Strawberry hibiscus deep conditioner is made with cupuacu butter which is well known for its high fatty acid content which benefits dry, damaged hair while protecting moisture and leaving hair soft and silky.
Bentonite clay naturally nourishes the hair follicle, imparts sheen, and naturally enhances the curl pattern of hair.

My Review: I only was able to get 4 uses out of the 8 oz container which was not a plus for me. The consistency of this deep conditioner reminded me of lotion like in between thick and runny. I prefer my deep conditioners to be on the thick side. You know when you turn the container over it doesn't move. When it is thicker to me I feel that a little goes a long way and it doesn't take much to coat my hair. It did have awesome slip. Separating my curls with out me having to run my hands through it.
The smell of the deep conditioner was like freshly washed strawberry's. Every time I opened the container I could help but take a big sniff.
My first time using was on freshly washed and conditioned hair. As you can see in the pic I applied it to half my head to see how my hair would take it. I was extremely please at how my curls started to define and absorb the conditioner. Each time I did leave it on for over a half an hour with heat because I would see better results doing it this way. After wards my hair always felt soft and even my color seem to pop more.
Shipping is a flat rate of 6.95$ and customer service is very timely. I have had to talk to the owner several times and she seems very nice.

Will I be Re Purchasing? Even though I give it a A I am still on the fence about the amount I receive  the price, and how many uses I get out of it. I did do a wonderful job of conditioning my hair.

Review #24: Simple Living Soaps

Hi Ladies

I know it is been a while since I did a post but school life is extremely time consuming and with 2 toddlers. That doesn't make the experience any better. Being that I started to convert my staples to more all natural lines I think it would be best to start using other things that are all naturally for a more healthy life style.
Rock Road Natural SoapSo this post will be a review on my last Random Spotlight. I received these soaps as a gift from one of the lovely group of ladies I associate with on Facebook. It was a complete surprise and thought I had ordered something but when I seen that it came from right here in Vegas I know that it had to be from someone else. I truly enjoyed featuring Mrs. Marcy on my blog and I am overly excited to be bring this review to you of her soaps. Being that her soaps are natural I don't know where to begin on the skincare benefits you can gain from switching to handmade soaps vs. store brands. But here are a few:

  • Handmade soaps are Chemical free
  • Handmade soaps carry moisture retaining properties
  • Handmade soaps carry anti-oxidants
  • Handcrafted Soap Offers Healing & Curative Properties
  • THE SMELL, THE SMELL. THE SMELL........

Natural Body Soap 5 for the price of 4: 20$  Price also varies from 3.50$ to 50$ (depending on what you get)

Promises, Directions, & Key Ingredients
Pink Sugar: This bar is just what the doctor ordered. . Made with YOGART & VINEGAR scented with Pink Sugar mixed with Blue Sugar . This bar will combat odors leaving you fresh and clean. This is all over bar too.
Fruit Loop: This Delicious bar of soap is full of fun. A play on a favorite childhood cereal. This bar has great lather and lots of moisturizing skin loving oils. Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil and Palm Oil.
P.S. I Love You: We can't forget the man in our life this s a very manly fragrance and because they have dry skin this soap has 10 oz Shea Butter per 3 lb loaf that will produce a rich creamy lather while moisturizing his skin. He'll never use your soap again.
Rocky Road: This soap has Cocoa Butter, Coco Powder, Marshmallow oil and, Marshmallow Root . It smell like a rich brownie making it hard to resist smelling over and over. The Ricky Road Bar leaves your skin smooth and very moisturized.
TWA:  Another addition to my girly bar line of soap. This bar is simply a beautiful white bar of soap no fragrance needed only additive is vinegar.
Neutrogena: Wonderful bar of soap olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil and a little castor oil for rich bubbles.. Super fated with Shea Butter.
Nevada Rain: This delightful bar soap is over 5.5 oz and had lots of wonderful skin loving oils. With a swirl of spirulina. Ingredients include 20% Shea Butter and Nevada Rain, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Olive Oil.
What makes this soap stand out from the crowd is RAIN WATER I collected myself to ensure purity. Rain water is naturally soft water. Water is made hard by the dissolved minerals in it like magnesium, calcium, iron etc. which rain water does not have if harvested correctly.
This soap has the most beautiful soft lather your skin will love you for it..
Cup Cake Lotion: 8 oz lotion. Olive Oil Shea Butter, Soybean Oil, Grape seed Oil, and Castor Oil, Vanilla, Pink Sugar, Patchouli, Lemon, Blue Sugar.

My Review
5oz TWÃ
What I received was 5 soaps, 2 samples of her newest soaps, a sample of her Cup Cake Lotion, and a body oil. The soaps where TWA, Fruit Loop, Rocky Road, Pink Sugar, Neutrogena. My samples where of her tow newest additions called Nevada Rain & P.S. I Love You. I want to get a full size bar of Nevada Rain because not only does it smell heavenly I know that she goes up & beyond putting effort into her products. You see it hardly rains in Nevada. Sometimes it is short bust of a down pour, then next thing you know the sun is out and you miss it. Then there are times when there is a down pour so strong that there is a flood watch and you have to stay indoors.  Now I never used handmade soaps before and was doing some research on who to buy from during Black Friday. Getting this load really broke my handmade soap virginity and I am also happy that it was from Mrs. Marcy.

As you can see to the picture to the right and below that these are some thick pieces of soap. Every one of my soap was a very hefty weight of 5 oz or more. So I know theses soaps will last me long past December maybe longer, but I will still be stocking up. The price in the US is a flat rate of 5.60$ for over a 1 lb and anything less then that is 3.50$ which is not bad at all. You can get all the soap you want no matter the weight and it is one rate. The soaps came pretty green wrapping paper with the name of each soap on the outside. I also received a pretty red lace soap bag to hold my soap. But since these bars are so big all of them could not fit in a bag so I had to put them in a box instead.

I first started using the fruit loop soap because the smell was out of this world. I mean it was so bad every time I walked passed it I had to pick it up and take a huge sniff of it cause it smells that good. Another thing about natural products is that *EVER BATCH VARIES*. In other worlds one batch may have a slight different color change, or the consistency may not be as thick or as light, or the smell may not be as strong. The reason I say this that my fruit loop soap, although it smells fantastic, didn't lather as strong as my TWA soap. The TWA soap lathered up soo well and I only had a little slice off of my huge bar. This is my first time using these kind of soaps so I didn't know if that was a normal thing or not. So when I asked Mrs. Marcy (who responded back extremely quickly) she told me that the TWA had a longer cured time then the Fruit loop loaf so that explained a lot. Being that the TWA is a all over bar I was glad that I didn't have to worry bout if it was going to harm the lady down stairs, but she was fine. My skin after using both soaps felt really soft. More so when locking in the moisture with the body oil. The next day my skin was not dry and ashy like the next. This rarely happens because once you lay in your bed all that work in buttering up your skin is gone! I loved the presentation of the oil which still had pieces of herbs floating in the bottle. Knowing that it is still being infused as it is sitting on my shelf makes my skin happy(lol). This oil smelled just like the cup cake lotion but a little lighter. Now let me tell you about the lotion. It is like a body butter in a lotion bottle. That bad boy was thickkkk like I like it, but still smooth on like a lotion. If you would like anymore information about this line or to purchase. The links are down below and don't forget to like Simple Living Soaps Facebook page.

Will I be repurchasing: Yes I wasn't disappointed about these soaps in anyway. I believe I have converted over! (LOL)

MY GRADE= A-
(Once I tried the other soaps I will report back on IG on how they were)

I was truly excited to try this line be I love there deep conditioners. I was sent 4 things from there Olive & Mango line. A shampoo, leave in, curl pudding, & a glaze. I have used other products from their line which was the DPR-11+ Deep Penetrating Remoisturizing Conditioner, the Soy OYL Ultrahydration Moisture Rich Deep conditioner, and the original Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer. Sitting her writing I am think about revisiting the DPR-11+ because during my transition my hair absolutely loved it and it really did last. I sent Elasta QP a email a little while back that I forgot all about it. When I did receive a response back I was greeted with very apologetic well detailed conversation. My goodies were also shipped out extremely fast too with tracking so that gives extra points for the great customer service I received.

Here is a little information about the product line:

DIRECTIONS: Shampoo and rinse hair well. Spray Leave-In H2 liberally into hair. Gently comb through hair. DO NOT RINSE. Style as desired. For straightening curls, waves or smoothing frizz, blow dry hair.

The leave in I used after i deep conditioned and sealed in with a oil. I can say my hair was well hydrated that day so that was a good thing. But I really wasn't to wowed away at the time. I feel if I use it more over time I will then see the results. I do prefer spray leave ins because I have fine hair and I don't what a heavy coat before I add anymore product to my hair. When I sprayed it out of the bottle it was a nice air mist that coated my hair really nicely. I did also use it as a refresher before retouching my hair.

Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisture Shampoo- 12oz 7.99

DIRECTIONS: Smooth onto wet hair. Gently massage scalp and work lather into hair from roots to ends. Use finger combing to help ease out tangles and remove build-up. Rinse and repeat. For best results, use Mango Butter Leave-in Conditioner after rinsing shampoo.

So lets talk about the shampoo. I used it on 2 different wash days and both times gotten the same results. It was to harsh for my hair. It was strip cleaned and left my hair hard at the same time which I never experienced before. To me it was not moisturizing at all. Other people have felt differently from what I researched, but for me it was a huge no no. It didn't any slip at all. So there was no aiding in my detangling process. As you can see in the picture the texture is thick like honey with a cream like color to it. It may be packed with oils and so moisturizing essentials, it just wasn't felt on my hair.

Texturizers can define curls and waves.

Co washed, left damped , then applied leave in, sealed with oil, last added Elasta Qp
Okay! So I used this one product ever which a way you can use a defining product and I ABSOLUTELY love it!! I first used it after sealing it in my leave in conditioner. Raking a little bit of the product thought my hair and smoothing it to the ends. When I am done I shake my hair to let some air really hit my curls and when this happens they really start to put. I also used this as a moisturizer when I have a old wash n go that is dry and lacking moisture. This pudding really except my shrinkage by giving my TWA loads of curls. I seen no flakes on my shoulders after drying. Also no hard crunches over here. LOL. The texture of this looks exactly like melted butter. it has a nice yellowish tint to it and melts away as soon as applied. I have add this to my staples because it is just that good on my hair. When I had my bad wash day last week this was what I grabbed to get my curls back to normal. I may try others but i know through out the week I will go back and use this so way some how.

Overall: All of these products smell the same to me which was a buttery mango smell. I absolutely love the smell. It lingers and last for a long time. It is more like a mist fragrance that leaves a light trail after leave the room and whenever you shake your head. The new package is a huge improvement to me because it can now be spotted and stands out on the shelf so you won't miss it. The jars have a nice wide open mouth esstenial in a naturals journey to make sure that you get ever last goody drop. Also 15 oz of product for under 7 is more then a bargain it is definitely a steal.

Will I repurchase? The shampoo I definitely would not repurchase not even to clarify because I did not like how my hair reacted  to it! The leave in I would like to give it a few more chances to see how it really conditions my hair over time. The pudding HELLLL YES! It is now a staple!

My Grade: A- only because of the shampoo!

My Review: First thing I used was the Refresher on old hair. First thing I noticed that was not to my liken is that the spray is more a squirt. I like my sprays to be a mist coming out to evenly coat my hair. Did it refresh my curls yes!. Next I used was the Daily Treatment Leave in. Now I did feel the cool sensation of the eucalyptus with felt so soothing to my scalp. My only concern is that it says to apply twice a day. The bottle is 4 oz and that was gone in a week when I used it on my son's and I hair. My son had a bad itching problem in the middle of his scalp that he was digging at and this really helped to heal it up. Last was the Afro stretch Curl Cream. I used it in several ways from freshly washed hair to 3 day old hair and I was extremely pleased with my the definition that I got each time. I only noticed one time, out of the many, that there was some product build up. But it was heavy to the point that I needed to wash my hair. Each product had a minty smell to it. Not a peppermint strong, more like a herbal tea mint which was nice to me. The Curl cream texture was thick and easily spreadable so a little is just enough. The leave in had more of a watery consistency making it easy for it to be used up fast.
Overall I give this line B- for the spray, the amount that was in the leave in, and the little bit of build up from the cream. The one that I liked the most out of the three was the cream as you can see below my curls were definitely looking good. Would I re buy these products: No because I already have my staples and they didn't give me a good enough impact to want to substitute them.

Deep Conditioning Treatment
Ingredients: Water (Aqua) infused with Equisetum Maximum Lam (Horsetail), Mentha Piperita (Peppermint), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary), Laurus Nobilis (Bay Leaf), Ocimum Basilicum (Basil), Arctium Lappa (Burdock Root), Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow Root), Origanum Vulgare (Oregano), Cymbopogon Flexuosus (Lemongrass), Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme), Salvia Officinalis (Sage) and Urtica Dioica (Nettle); Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Soy Lecithin, Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate

Confident Coils:
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, VP/VA Copolymer, Polyimide-1, C 12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Polysorbate 60; Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Dehydroxanthan Gum, Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt), Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate

Directions: Use Confident Coils with Jessicurl Rockin’ Ringlets or Gelebration Spray for extra curl enhancement or alone to give tighter curls definition and hold. Distribute evenly through soaking wet hair and scrunch to encourage curls or finger-comb to elongate. Air dry or dry with a diffuser. This stuff is pretty concentrated, so less is more. If your hair is fine and gets weighed down easily, use a very small amount at first and increase from there if you need more hold. Check out my product demo videos in the Curly Care Center to see Confident Coils in action.

My Review: The Jessicurl team I felt had wonderful customer service. They were extremely polite and even asked for hair details to get the right products out to me. Shipping was also fast and timely! When the package came it had plenty of information on how to use the collection, what order to use it, and which product would be best for your hair type. I found this very helpful especially if your just starting to learn your curls and you have no idea where to start. This sample pack would be a well rounded kit to test out! They also sent me a  a little nifty washable tattoo.

The 2 things I used prior to getting the sample set was the Hair Cleansing Cream and the Deep Conditioner Treatment. Now for the deep conditioner it is a must try for transitioners and full naturals. My results were amazing! Soft hair, new growth was manageable, it also aided in my detangling process. So I would definitely give this a try more then the others in my opinion. I started with the cleanser of course and was a little taken back by not getting suds I was us to seeing from my shampoo. Being that this was my first cleanser I did really know what to expect. But it did a great job of cleaning my hair without the squeaky clean feel. I then used the Too Shea Moisturizing Conditioner as my conditioner rinse. First I think I should have used this instead of my Aubreys maybe I would have had a better effect. But my initial use I really didn't see any wow factor. It really didn't do anything to my hair. But I will try it again this wash day and let you guys know how I feel about it. Last was the styler, Confident Coils, and I loved it. It was truly moisturizing and defining. No flakes in my curls, no nasty residue, only thing was a small amount didn't cut it. I had to keep going back to make my curls stand out the way I wanted it to.

Pricing for each 8oz bottle is 16.95 which is a little pricey for my range. But they always send awesome deals in there emails from discount on shipping or buying a set, so it would be a good idea to sign up for they're email updates!

The set I was sent did not have a scent. (Wow! Try saying that three times fast! Lol) They have 2 ways you can get your products which are scented and unscented. But they only have one scent which is Island Fantasy. I really do like when companies gives you the choice of choosing your fragrance just in case you have a allergy to something.

Overall I give this sample a B+ for the Conditioner and the pricing. Every thing else was to my liking.

Jmarie Natural Beauty Review #20

Hey Guys

Now these butters like I said the Random Spotlight on the owner of Jmarie Natural Beauty. I have been using them for over 2 months now. I mainly use them on my daughters hair instead of mines because they are a little heavy on my relaxed ends. But once I big chop I will be giving them another try.
Anyways I won these in a giveaway. Each of them are 4oz and pack a lot of punch. Now I have never heard of her butters prior to the giveaway and I do my research to see if I can find any reviews on products before I use them. I believe I only found maybe 2, which to me states that this is a small business in the making. All products can be safely used on skin as well. They each contain:

No Petrolatum
No Mineral Oil
No Synthetic Coloring
No Chemical preservatives

Brazil Nut Butter 9.99$-4oz
Directions For Hair: Use on dry or wet hair. If you have a TWA or Wash & Go, rub butter in hands, then gently rub butter all over hair. If you are doing a Twist/Braid Out, place butter on each section of hair and then twist/braid. A little goes a long way.

Directions for Skin: Rub butter all over skin ... and wait for the compliments on how good you smell :-)

Ingredients: Berthorlletia Excelsa Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil.

*Special Tip: This is also great for babies and children. It’s light and airy and easily penetrates hair.

Orange Healing Butter 9.99$-4oz

Orange Butter is derived from Orange Peel oil and Orange Peel Wax. The natural oil contains Limonene, which is a very effective free radical scavenger. Oranges and orange peel oil are a great natural source of vitamin E, a well-known antioxidant.

Directions For Hair: Use on dry or wet hair. If you have a TWA or Wash & Go, Puff, or Bun, rub butter in hands, then gently rub butter all over hair. If you are doing a Twist/Braid Out, place butter on each section of hair and then twist/braid. A little goes a long way.

Directions for Skin: Rub butter all over skin ... and enjoy how great you smell!

Ingredients: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil (and) Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Wax, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil.

*Special Tip – My other butters can be used on your skin, but this butter is especially useful for skin. Orange Peel oil has been shown to clear acne prone skin.

Curl Boost Butter 10.99$-4oz, 16.99$-8oz
Directions: Use on damp hair. If you have a TWA or Wash & Go, rub butter in hands, then gently rub butter all over hair. If you are doing a Twist/Braid Out, place butter on each section of hair and then twist/braid. A little goes a long way.

*Special Tip: If you want to elongate your curls, wash and blow dry your hair (on low or cool heat setting). Then, do a twist or braid out putting this hair butter on each section of your hair.

Ingredients: Avocado Butter, Olive Butter, Rice Bran Oil, Fragrance Oil
My Review: The first one that I tried was the Curl Boost Butter that is enriched with avocado butter. I don't remember what I used with it but my curls were super define but yet greasy at the same time. But when I used it again on my giovanni 2chic line wash day my hair felt extremely well balanced. I haven't used the other butters because like I stated. The other two butter I would use my aloe vera spritz and then seal with the butter, on my daughter's hair, and it will give it a nice curl and stay moisturized.
Now the texture of the Brazil Nut & Orange Healing butter are both really smooth creamy consistency. It's not like a whipped cream that's light and fluffy. More of a texture like peanut butter. Thick, easily spreadable, and melts to the touch. For the Curl Boost butter it is a whipped with a oily layer to it. Not oily in a bad, but you know it's enriched with it. I like that it has a light weight to it and gave me awesome soft curls.
The package for each container was in wide open jars that are easily accessible. The logo is beautiful and modern give the butters a well put together look. Even though there isn't enough room to add a lot of details I really liked how she was able to give key points and tips on what each butter does. Not making it hard to read the directions or ingredients either.
For the smell of each one it had a distinct aroma. The one that I loved the most was the Orange Healing Butter because it smell like you just peeled a orange. When I applied it to my daughter's hair everyone that came near her would complaint on how good she smells. I personally like the strong scent, but then again if you do not take to strong scents I wouldn't recommend. The Brazil Nut butter had to grow on me because I did not like the nutty smell at first. But once place on freshly wash hair it smells like heaven. For the Curl Boost butter to me it it smelled like a fresh avocado with a light hint of a floral fragrance that lingered but not for to long.
Overall I was very very pleased with the results that these products give on me and my daughter's hair. I felt that it did as it promised on the package. The prices maybe a little pricey but for the quality of these butters they are worth it. Plus believe me ladies a little goes a long way. I would take maybe a nickel to a quarter size and it would serve its purpose. Will I be repurchasing these again? Yes I will be restocking on black Friday when I do my big haul. These butters are amazing and I wouldn't sleep on these ladies!

My Review: The first product that I used was the TGIN Twist & Define Cream to refresh my curls. I used with Obia Naturals Curl Hydration Spray and when I took my rods out the next day they were a little hard at first, but as the day went on they soften up. It was moisturizing at first but after a day of going outside with these crazy elements my hair got a little hard, buy adding a little of the daily hair moisturizer it soften that up. My new growth were popping curls everywhere. They were well defined.
On wash day I used the shampoo and it didn't not like my hair. Thet were combating like it was nobodies business. No slip, my hair felt stripped, and it made my hair more tangled then before. It did one thing for sure and that was clean my hair. To me it felt like more of a clarifying shampoo then a no sulfate having shampoo and that was after washing my hair twice with it.
I used the conditioner next working it in my hair for about 2-3 minutes. It really really left my hair feeling back to normal The stripped feeling from the shampoo was gone and I could detangle with ease. My hair just sucked up the conditioner like it was water after using the shampoo. The conditioner took extremely well in my hair.
Next I used the Honey Miracle Hair Mask that I left on my hair for 3 hours. I didn't use heat cause it was already hot outside. When I rinsed this conditioner out it felt like my hair really absorb the nutrients from the mask. My curls felt balanced and not more of one then the other.
Now for the Butter Cream Moisturizer I didn't really use except for around my edges which are the driest of my hair it did quench there thirst and left my hair smelling good all day. I also used it on hubby and he said he noticed a difference in his hair. Being that he's outside more then me, the weather dry out his hair alot and this truly help with that!
The texture of the mask was liked whipped honey. It still had the thick consistency but was very easy to spread. I thought the 2oz was not going to do my head, but boy was I wrong. It covered it and then some. The consistency of all the rest were light to get out the bottle, but was thick enough to spread over your hair. I think the sample pack would do good on ladies with tall textured hair types as well.
The smell of each item was the same. A light floral smell that was not heavy at all. I really like this smell of it.
The package is simple clear jar with just the logo and description on the container. Nice wide opening for very easy excess, for us ladies with fat fingers. I was a able to get every last be of product out of the jar. Another plus on my list for theses products that they have free shipping on select items, the majority of them, and that is truly helpful on your pockets.

Overall these were truly worth the wait and I am happy to say that I can add to the good reviews about these products given them a Grade of a A-. The minus is only for the shampoo that I felt was a little to stripping for my hair. This line was well worth the grade from free shipping to promised moisturized hair. I definitely want to purchase the deep conditioner to my staples and will be on my buy list for Black Friday!

Thanks for reading!
