Review #4: Simply Organic Jamaican Black Castor Oil*

Hey Guys,

I hope every one enjoyed their Valentines day!!! I sure did! Hubby got me a brand new lab top and God knows I needed a new computer after the my last one was sat on. So I will be treating this one lik1e a baby. Off limits to everyone!

Anyway it's review time!!!!

I received Simply Organics Oils last month some time.(click highlighted link) I can't exactly remember. But I have been using it every since. My staple Castor Oil is Jamaican Black Castor Oil. But the Simply Organic is just as good, maybe a little better in my opinion. I've used it for hot oil treatments, to pre poo, and as a sealant. So I kinda went thru my first bottle fast, but my second bottle I slow down and still have half a bottle left, which I usually go thru a bottle in 6-7 weeks if I'm just using it strictly for my scalp and pre poos it can last.
Prices Varies $9.99-$14.99  2oz-8oz

Skin: Jamaican Black Castor oils uses include skin disorders, burns, sunburns, cuts, and abrasions by direct application to the effected area.
Acne: Use vapor to open facial pores (preferably after a hot steamy shower), proceed by applying Jamaican Black Castor oil in a massage style circular motion to effected area. Allow to settle about 10-15 minutes then wash clean.

My Review: I overall love this product from the package to the smell. It has been a staple and it will forever be a staple in my book for good hair growth. I love that the bottle is clear so that you can actually see the product. I would highly recommend this product because they have more variety like the rosemary and extra strength that you can use. Also it can be used for different purposes not just one which adds a plus in my book.

My Grade: A+

  1. There have been some inconsistencies because other blogs state that you should let it stay for only 20 minutes and not overnight. Seeing that it is oil, it might lead to having a very oily hair and scalp.

    1. You can use it any way you perferre. When I use it in my hair for a overnight treatment l add it to a conditioner!!! In one of my post I diluted it with coconut oil, did a hot oil treatment, then add a conditioner over it. To each its own.
      Thanks for reading!

  2. This is the brand I use exclusively and I put it on at least 3x a week and let it stay on my head PERIOD. It soaks well into my hair and scalp. The only reason you would have an oily hair and scalp is if you use wayyyyyyy too much, or you already have an oily scalp. I do believe there is a difference in hair between ethnicities and that black textured hair, which tends to be drier due to tighter curl patterns. So for black people, leaving it on probably won't reap the same results as it would to someone non-black.
